As a life coach and counselor, I have a pretty big bag of tricks that I draw from when supporting my clients in their goals. One such "trick" that I consider my secret weapon is "The Group."
The Group refers to the power of purposefully collaborating with like-minded and like-hearted people on behalf of a higher purpose. I call The Group a secret because regardless of how public many groups are, the power of the group still escapes many. As a matter of fact most of my clients bristle at the idea of joining a group whenever I suggest it. I'm usually met with, "Hmmm, I'm not into groups. I prefer one-on-one. I don't want to hang out with a bunch of whiners."
This resistance to groups is understandable. There's some truth to the "whiner" stereotype and the wrong group will be ineffective and a waste of time. However, the right group offers exponential effectiveness that you can't get from just one teacher. For the same amount of time invested, you put your needs out to the "group universe" and instantly the collective encouragement, wisdom, experience, and network of your group becomes yours! That is the power of the group.
If you are to realize the full potential of this opportunity there are a few things you should know. First of all there are two jobs that must be fulfilled: your job and the group's job. Your clarity and thoroughness regarding both is of vital importance.
Your Job
In order to benefit from The Group you must have the correct mind-set. Here's a check-list to help you proceed with the right attitude:
* Do you have a superiority complex? If so, you may think that you know it all and that others have nothing to offer you. You may have a hard time admitting this, but if you're honest with yourself, you'll know if you fall into this category.
* Do you have an inferiority complex? If so you may think that everyone in the group is more or better than you. You may think that you have nothing to offer.
* If you fall into either of the above categories, you'll need to make an attitude adjustment. Understand that if you don't expose yourself to new ideas and perspectives, nothing in your life will change.
* Replace your desire to control with a commitment to trust the process. If you could reach your goals on your own, you already would have.
* Remember: It is about progress not perfection. Whether you are trying to find your group OR realize your goal - it is a journey. The journey is rarely linear. It is more often one of three-steps-forward-two-steps-back, two-steps-forward-one-step-back... In other words, you must take on a long-term approach to the group and be patient.
The Group's Job
Armed with the correct mind-set you're ready to find or build your group. If your group is to be a powerful catalyst for positive change in your life, you'll want to be clear about the following:
* Group Culture - Each group has its own personality and style. Whether you're building a group or joining one, think about the energy, the feel, and the culture that would be a good fit. Some groups offer feedback, some do not. Some groups are more gentle and passive, other groups adhere to the "please-kick-my-butt-so-I'll-succeed" style of support. There are many ways to be successful. Some people like to move fast. Others aren't in a hurry. Whatever your style, take the time to find the right fit. Visit numerous groups to get a feel or, if you're starting a group, do yourself the favor of clarifying this for yourself and your cohorts.
* Clear Purpose - Make sure the group has a clearly stated purpose. This information serves you in two important ways. A clear purpose allows you to weed out waste-of-time scenarios quickly. It also helps the group stay on track.
* Structure and Standards - An effective group has a clear structure and set of standards. A group that has defined its stance on issues of commitment, meeting frequency, topics of discussion, leadership, and participation requirements will be more powerful as a catalyst for positive change than say, a casual monthly lunch group where the priority is more about connection than accomplishment.
How to Find Your Group
Once you've got your search criteria and mind-set lined up, all that is left is to find your group. Here are some ideas to get your started:
* Do a Google search by topic and or geographic region. Include the words "clubs," "groups," and/or "mastermind."
* Go to the library and ask the reference librarian for directories focused on associations, groups or clubs.
* Check out your local newspaper.
* Seek out classes focused on your topic to meet like-minded people. If a group doesn't exist, approach the teacher or a classmate for some brainstorming.
Einstein said, "No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it." The Group is the "weapon" that can absolutely attack and defend against what could be your greatest enemy - you! Although a weapon metaphor may seem contrary to spiritually-oriented success coaching, it makes a point: If you're serious about creating positive change, a commitment to the right group is invaluable!

How Do I Know I Am Getting A True Psychic Reading?
Often we are bombarded by commercials and informercials on our televisions about the best and most accurate psychics. There are times when a person in need of a psychic reading does not know which way to turn. Especially when we are feeling afraid, lonely, confused, or lost.
While there are some people with true psychic abilities, the majority of the so called psychics are not. When you are calling a psychic, many of these non psychics will give you generic answers and try to keep you on the phone so they can collect more money from you.

- Psychics will not tell you silly things like what you had for lunch today, or what time you got out of bed this morning.
- Psychic readers read your energy or your soul. A psychic should always respect your energy.
- A psychic reading is about you and your personal development. A good psychic will be able to help you see what you can do to improve your life and avoid pitfalls.
- When you are having difficulties in your life, a psychic reading should give you insight as to how you can make the decisions to make things better.
- Psychics are human and do not always know the answer. If they cannot see a certain aspect of your future, they should be honest and let you know they are not clear on the answer.
- The purpose of obtaining a psychic is to answer questions and guide you as to the best way to go about solving problems.

Ghosts and Tramp Souls. How Do They Invade and Possess The Body?
What are tramp souls?
They are astral beings who are earthbound because of their attachments and strong material urges desirous to return to a physical form and roam around in the ether to satisfy their need for sense pleasures. The spiritual master tells us these beings are mostly harmless ghosts and have zero power to affect the average person. Occasionally tramp souls take possession of someone's mind and body but only of people who frequently keep their mind in a blank state with no thoughts for long periods of time. These people have weakened their minds and became vulnerable and mentally unstable due to karmic attraction and mental emptiness and they unconsciously invite the vagrant tramp spirits inside their bodies. If one unwittingly leaves his car unlocked with the keys in it, any crude, uncouth individual could get in and drive away. Tramp souls who have lost their own physical forms are on the look-out for those neglected transports.
There are some tramp souls who on earth were criminals, robbers, murderers, drunkards and particularly treacherous, vicious and licentious beings. And those individuals who have left their bodies in a state of sin as with those who foolishly and ruthlessly committed suicide are thought of as tainted souls in the astral spheres. Imprisoned in their astral bodies they grieve the loss of their earthly life and find no rest and therefore must roam in the lower astral planes grieving the loss of their physical embodiment or hating to be reborn. These pitiful souls have to wander around in the ether until they have worn out the karmic effects of their bad actions. There are evil-possessed people who made nothing but trouble in this world and as evil-obsessed spirits they continue their mischief-making in the astral plane and in the physical plane as astral tramp souls. These tramp souls hunt for people with karmic similarities and are attracted to them by their negative thoughts.
When an evil person sheds his mortal frame and goes through the door of death into the hereafter, he continues to be evil and does not become an angel. Only one who has been angelic on earth when crossing over the abyss of death can enter the superior environment of Heaven. As birds live in the air, worms live in the earth and fish live in the water, angels reside in the finer vibratory atmospheres in various regions of the astral universe according to their merits from their pre-astral life on earth. Likewise fish cannot continue to live out of their watery environment, unclean spirits or tamp souls have to stay on the grossest astral planets. Finer spirits live in the higher luminous planets; if tramp souls were to dare to move towards those higher regions, they would be instantly 'astral-ocuted' or shocked by higher voltage of astral power.
Some people cry out when having a bad dream. In the same way, during the death sleep, unclean spirits and tramp souls wander about in the ether howling for relief frequently trying to seize some submissive bodily transport in which to communicate their pent-up wickedness and agony. People with strong will power, spiritual vibrations and brains occupied with intelligent thinking should never worry as their minds can never be infested. Devilish souls can never enter minds of spiritually advanced people. The master warns us that is the reason one should never let the mind go blank or be negative and to never let oneself be fooled or open to messages from so called mediums or Ouija boards coming from disincarnate souls as this could represent itself as an ideal opportunity for possession from the lowest type of tramp spirits seeking out expression and experience in human transports. The thought of evil spirits or devils occupying weak-brained, unthinking people should not be considered or discarded as superstition; a powerful personality shuts out the invasion with a fully occupied mind.
Similarly those who practice the scientific methods of yoga meditation and prayer should never fear such beings for if ones thoughts are on God no harm can come from evil spirits. Remember when one is in meditation with God one can be thoroughly convinced that the body will be so fully charged with cosmic energy emanating from the high-voltage thoughts of God and that one will be protected from the inferior-astral trespassers. There is a clear-cut distinction between the state of a person acting under the power of being possessed by an unclean devil or tramp soul and that of someone acting under a subconscious obsession, idea or autosuggestion.
When you encounter the real thing, actual possession consists of the presence in someone's body of a spirit that has thrown off its own physical form and in its astral body completely or partially incapacitates the coherent faculties or common sense of the one being possessed. Only in the condition of a mother carrying a child can a human body accommodate an additional being besides its self. However, expert metaphysicians are capable of differentiating real cases of spirit possession with metaphysical powers and able to detect the invisible astral form of the visitor next to the astral body of the one being possessed. For the layman, it is a different story. The only way to conclude a genuine case of spirit possession is by evaluating the many states of spasms and outrageous behavior of which a person possessed is subject. The true signs of a person possessed by an evil spirit are lack of natural behavior, bloodshot eyes, uncommon physical strength and uncanny expressions. Spiritual Intelligence - The Real Secret
SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE - THE REAL SECRET
SELF-EMPOWERMENT: The mystery of existence and the all-pervading essence and energy of the universe are phenomena that human consciousness has sought to understand for timeless eons. For me, this is the realm of Spiritual Intelligence and understanding it places me in right the middle of the paradox of accepting that it is beyond my rational understanding whilst knowing that there are ways that I do understand it. Because of this I am able to engage with it and apply it practically in my life.
The organic wisdom of Spiritual Intelligence has been known about for ages. However, its application has been suppressed and misinterpreted through many of our cultural practices. Spiritual Intelligence informs all mystic traditions; when these are distilled to their essence there is a remarkable level of consensus between them, even though their ensuing dogma is implicated in most of human conflict. Spiritual Intelligence is not a religion, nor is it religious; it is not a theology; it is not a philosophy; it is not a system of ethics or a moral code. It is not a rational intellectual faculty that can be brought to bear analytically or academically. Above all Spiritual Intelligence is not something mysterious that is the province of the special few.
Leading edge science is now coming up with a plethora of terms that map on to the various spiritual descriptions of the ineffable that I call Spiritual Intelligence, in a vague yet compelling manner. Many of these terms, like the quantum vacuum and the zero point field, may be in dispute and finely differentiated intellectually. Nevertheless, they are essentially attempts to articulate the same universal phenomena perceived by the mystics of old; and they are as esoteric in their own way.
However we attempt to describe or define it, Spiritual Intelligence will always somehow defy our definitions. This is because it is an intelligence beyond our intellect that comprises everything - the known and the unknown. It will not be contained. But it is possible to access it.
Accessing Spiritual Intelligence is the process of self-empowerment. This is an ongoing unfolding of exquisite joy and freedom. It is an expansion of consciousness that continues to make the limiting beliefs we've applied to our sense of our existence redundant. Spiritual Intelligence is the root of fulfilment and prosperity for anyone who chooses to engage with it. Nevertheless it is not for the faint-hearted. It demands that we be prepared to drop our beliefs about everything we've used in defining ourselves to ourselves and abandon every idea that fails to support or nourish us. When we choose to engage with it, it means we are asking to become fully the truth of who we are.
A PERSONAL STORY: I've been aware of actively engaging and working with Spiritual Intelligence for 20 years. In that time I've been through a fundamental transformation, changing the way I express in the world almost beyond my own recognition. As with most people's journey, mine has been very circuitous. Whenever I thought I was aiming for one place I invariably found myself visiting many others along the way that I had no idea existed; and as I travelled my destination began to shift.
Also, like many others on the path, I found that every so often I ran into the emotional debris of my past. In the beginning for a long time, I dreaded these encounters, they seemed so painful and they were what I was running away from. Getting "spiritual" was supposed to make this stuff go away. It took me a while, as I can be extraordinarily resistant, but I began to realise that this was the work I was here to do. Because the clearer I became in my emotions, the healthier I became, and the more clearly I could feel my connection to my essence. And this felt good! In fact I found I could actually feel a lot more and I could trust my feelings. Not surprising, as they were no longer cluttered and blocked by my old emotional patterns and reactions.
I got very good at my own clearing, so good that I began to offer assistance to others in personal healing sessions, workshops and training groups. I evolved some remarkably powerful processes that access the deepest aspects of our humanity and their origins - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. I stopped working at my old job and sought to make my living as a teacher of these self-healing processes. I even wrote a book. It has been a wonderful 20 years and I look forward to the next 20 with relish.
Now here's the point that I've been building up to. In all that time I always had my needs met, but I never really prospered. And I worked hard. I knew that Spiritual Intelligence could guide me to the solution - connecting with it consciously had done so much for me, it had to be capable of this. So I began to look at where my focus had been, and where I was applying it. I had been prosperous, before getting into my own transformation; and I knew all the stuff about the abundance of the universe, old mindsets of poverty-consciousness and the attitude of gratitude. But I was just getting by. So I decided to do something about it.
I realised that for prosperity to have any meaning for me it had to come from a place of integrity with Spiritual Intelligence, so it wasn't just a matter of figuring out a business plan and packaging up my teachings into a commodity. It was about utilising what had meaning for me, the principles I had developed, in a grounded and practical way.
So now I considered what had worked for me, and looked at how it worked. And I came up with the following basic steps. First I had to feel where I was at and accept it. Then I had to be clear about what I wanted, and feel that.
This second step was less easy, but I had experience of prospering. I knew that feeling. And I knew the feeling of being in tune with the well-being of my soul, that's what I'd been working on for the last two decades. And suddenly I knew intuitively that I needed to begin using my imagination to bring those feelings into my body. But the key was to do this at odd moments - when I was walking down the street, when I was sitting quietly relaxed, and almost any time I thought of it. There had to be a complete absence of pressure, no supreme efforts of will, no deep meditative techniques. It had to be light.
I shifted my feeling focus from what it felt like to be wanting material prosperity to what it felt like to have it. And things began to change, rapidly. Within six months I was contracted for some work, and over the following year my income quadrupled.
WELL-BEING AND MANIFESTING: This brings me to an aspect of feeling that is rarely recognised. It is nothing less than the open secret of the generative properties of feeling. And it goes like this ...
The more we feel down and fed-up the more this is reflected back to us through our interpretation of the external circumstances of our lives, and the more we feel down and fed-up.
But it works the other way too. The more we feel the joy and delight of being alive the more this is reflected through our interpretation of the external circumstances of our lives, and the more we feel the joy and delight of being alive.
This is the secret. What I feel generates my experience. If I can feel the joy of life I will see it, even in what could be conceived of as the most adverse situations. If I allow what I see to condition what I feel, through the interpretive processes of my mind, that feeling will generate more of whatever I see.
It is therefore a priority to induce the feelings of joy, delight and well-being, even if only momentarily, as often as possible. This will eventually guide us into the situations which reflect those feelings. If you want your life to work take yourself to the place of feeling where it is working. Imagine it! Invent it!
Also realise that it is a mistake to try to hold onto these feelings. When they pass, as they will, let them go and tell yourself you've done it once so you can do it again. Then, when you are ready, bring yourself to a place of feeling the joy of life again. Make this a practice.
COSMIC SENSE: Because it is often at variance with the rational mind, Spiritual Intelligence can sometimes only emerge when the rational mind has exhausted itself. For the most part it is concealed from us by our self-constructed illusions and beliefs about our earthly existence: the beliefs that we've created to sustain our concept of consensus reality and how we fit into it.
Spiritual Intelligence reveals itself to us through the situations that challenge our concepts of reality and truth, and even those of our own identity. These are always charged with fear: consequently we avoid them. Our Spiritual Intelligence thus remains largely untapped. A very basic rule of thumb comes from the phenomenon that when we are aligned with Spiritual Intelligence we experience joy at the core of our being - this means we feel as if everything is right with the world and it's great to be alive. The degree to which we fail to feel this is the degree to which we are in conflict with Spiritual Intelligence and from our own natural well-being.
Put simply, when everything is working we feel good. So our emotional triggers and trauma, our fears and our negative behaviour patterns can be seen as signals that our Spiritual Intelligence is trying to support us but is being blocked. We experience the effects of a block every time we react to a person or a situation, every time we see something wrong with anyone else, every time we berate ourselves for any shortcoming, every time we compare ourselves unfavourably with another ... and every time we stop ourselves from doing these things because we know they're not nice.
We each hold generations of baggage within us, inherited from our ancestors, learned from our cultures, absorbed from our environment. The weight of this burden is causing humanity at large to lash out in pain self-destructively - towards those we love, as well as those we have been taught to see as enemies. The extraordinary potential of Spiritual Intelligence is that we can do something about this. This is not just spiritually intelligent it's Cosmic Sense.

SELF-EMPOWERMENT: The mystery of existence and the all-pervading essence and energy of the universe are phenomena that human consciousness has sought to understand for timeless eons. For me, this is the realm of Spiritual Intelligence and understanding it places me in right the middle of the paradox of accepting that it is beyond my rational understanding whilst knowing that there are ways that I do understand it. Because of this I am able to engage with it and apply it practically in my life.
The organic wisdom of Spiritual Intelligence has been known about for ages. However, its application has been suppressed and misinterpreted through many of our cultural practices. Spiritual Intelligence informs all mystic traditions; when these are distilled to their essence there is a remarkable level of consensus between them, even though their ensuing dogma is implicated in most of human conflict. Spiritual Intelligence is not a religion, nor is it religious; it is not a theology; it is not a philosophy; it is not a system of ethics or a moral code. It is not a rational intellectual faculty that can be brought to bear analytically or academically. Above all Spiritual Intelligence is not something mysterious that is the province of the special few.
Leading edge science is now coming up with a plethora of terms that map on to the various spiritual descriptions of the ineffable that I call Spiritual Intelligence, in a vague yet compelling manner. Many of these terms, like the quantum vacuum and the zero point field, may be in dispute and finely differentiated intellectually. Nevertheless, they are essentially attempts to articulate the same universal phenomena perceived by the mystics of old; and they are as esoteric in their own way.
However we attempt to describe or define it, Spiritual Intelligence will always somehow defy our definitions. This is because it is an intelligence beyond our intellect that comprises everything - the known and the unknown. It will not be contained. But it is possible to access it.
Accessing Spiritual Intelligence is the process of self-empowerment. This is an ongoing unfolding of exquisite joy and freedom. It is an expansion of consciousness that continues to make the limiting beliefs we've applied to our sense of our existence redundant. Spiritual Intelligence is the root of fulfilment and prosperity for anyone who chooses to engage with it. Nevertheless it is not for the faint-hearted. It demands that we be prepared to drop our beliefs about everything we've used in defining ourselves to ourselves and abandon every idea that fails to support or nourish us. When we choose to engage with it, it means we are asking to become fully the truth of who we are.
A PERSONAL STORY: I've been aware of actively engaging and working with Spiritual Intelligence for 20 years. In that time I've been through a fundamental transformation, changing the way I express in the world almost beyond my own recognition. As with most people's journey, mine has been very circuitous.
